Homemade Tortilla Chips


These chips are quick and easy to make and are really really yummy. They would be so impressive to put out if you are having company or just to serve on taco night for your family. Or if you are like me and forget to grab chips at the store and make a whole bunch of homemade salsa.....these chips can save the day. 


Ingredients

  • Corn Tortillas
  • Salt 
  • Oil (I use cooking spray)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your Air Fryer to 350°. This only take about 5 minutes. 
  2. Cut your tortillas into the size triangles that you would like. I find that with corn tortillas, cutting them into eighths makes the perfect size for us. 
  3. Lay them out and spray one side with cooking spray. (You could also lightly brush on oil to each triangle if you prefer not to use cooking spray.) Sprinkle with salt.
  4. Once your Air Fryer is nice and hot make a single layer of your tortilla triangles and let them cook for 5 minutes. I like to check them around the 3 minute mark. * If the chips get too dark they will taste burnt so you want to take them out as soon as they start to brown.
  5. Then once they are golden and crispy take them out and start your next batch.
That is it!! These are so easy but so so yummy. The only hard part about making these is waiting for them to all be done. I am telling you though, if you want to impress some people put out a bowl of these at your next party! They will be gone before you know it. 

They will last in a sealed bag or container for a few days, but they usually don't last that long in my house.
